This Workshop on the “General Principles of Assessment” will provide you as the newly qualified teacher with a general overview of Assessment including the basic knowledge and skills that you will need to master in order to fulfil your role as the “Teacher as “Assessor”.

The Aim of the workshop is:

To provide the teacher with a broad overview of “Assessment” so that assessment practice and implementation is undertaken with clear understanding

• Know what steps have to be followed in order to record the evidence, evaluate and analyse the findings and make a judgement.
• Know what steps have to be followed in order to provide feedback on the outcomes and results of assessment.
• Know what steps have to be followed in order to review assessment and reflect on the practice of assessment practice and Teaching.
