Justin talks about how the enrollment of an elective he taught early in his career made him assess how he was reaching students from different backgrounds. Rich describes how reading the Paul Laurence Dunbar poem “We Wear the Mask” in high school has made him think over the years about the ways students often leave their identities at the door when they come to school.
