Assessment is one of the biggest parts of our jobs as teachers. It’s what helps us know if our learners understand the concepts and skills that we are teaching. But how do we know our assessment results are accurate? How do we know that they are a true reflection of our learners’ knowledge and skills?
In this course, we will look at the four pillars of great assessment: purpose, validity, reliability and value. We will use these to evaluate our assessments and see how we can make them better.
This course is best suited to Intermediate and Senior Phase teachers who are teaching based on CAPS. If you’re wondering whether this course is right for you, you can check out the “Introduction” which will give you a taste of what’s to come.
